Regional Managers

Role of Regional Managers


Regional Managers serve as the hands-on point of contact in their respective countries or geographic areas. They have the training, education, and professional experience required to direct or command protective operations and to teach protection to others.


Regional Managers also serve as the CPOM area Chapter Chair and may appoint support personnel as appropriate.


Regional Manager Responsibilities


Regional Managers must:

  • Possess thorough knowledge of local law relating to the security industry, particularly close protection 
  • Be graduates of a professional training program recognized and respected in their region 
  • Have strong familiarity with the protection industry in their region 
  • Maintain a strong professional network 
  • Be able to work with Subject Matter Experts to develop appropriate testing and review materials 
  • Be responsible for vetting candidates for CPOM certification 
  • Have strong working experience with regulatory bodies 
  • Demonstrate the ability and desire to work as mentors 


Local Leadership


Regional Managers help ensure that CPOM standards are applied appropriately within each country or geographic area. Their role is essential in balancing international certification standards with local professional, legal, and regulatory requirements.
